Yeah, I don't get the resistance to the halo. As far as aesthetics are concerned, It's not like the cars they are attached to are all that good looking anyway. Outside, of the first lap crash, I really enjoyed watching the race. Most notably for that rarity in F!, honest to goodness on track dicing.

The same was said about the HANS device and the seatbelt... and window nets in NASCAR and look at the lives they have saved. There was also a life saved in F2 this weekend by a HALO device. Even Lewis Hamilton and Toto Wolff changed their minds and considering that Hamilton could have been killed when Verstappen ended up with his rear wheel on the Mercedes HALO...

Halo once again did its job. But the roll bar gave way during the slide. Lets not forget that catch fence that saved dozens of fans lives if the car went into the crowd. The answer can't be to move back the crowd even further as you almost already to far from the action.
