All,
I would like to model the Pfaff Motorsports 991 Porsche that raced in the IMSA series the last couple of years. I have found a decal set, but I cannot find a specific model kit to match. The closest I can find so far is a Profil24 Porsche 911 RSR.
So I'm looking for any advice on kits, trans-kits, or mods that would help with this build. It doesn't have to be perfect, but since it would be a somewhat substantial investment, i do want to get the major details as close as possible.
I would also welcome any opinions on the Profil24 Porsche kits.
Thanks, Lou

That's yet another car I want to put on my shelf! Nunu announced a 2018 911 GT3R right before the pandemic started. It's been delayed along with the 911RSR they announced at the same time. Here's a link to the page on SpotModel's web site: LINK Here's the link to the RSR: LINK The RSR is supposed to be available late this year, but no word yet on the GT3. I've seen comments that Profil24 kits take a bit of work, but they look good when finished. Not ~$170 good (for me), but still pretty good. Here's a thread by someone building their Howmet TX: LINK Where did you find decals for the Pfaff 911? Ben

I've been waiting and waiting for this kit since the announcement on Spot models. These days it seems that Nunu just keeps on releasing 935 K2s and K3s with new decals for cars from both sides of the pond.
I bought a Le Mans Miniature resin kit a while ago, but still haven't started it to see if this type of kit is worth the selling price. So far the kit was missing the front headlight glass that was eventually replaced, but they came damaged, and a few broken pcs of resin.
I've followed a few Profil24 builds and the kits are generally very good to excellent. the glass is a better quality vacuform so they do take a lot of work to get right.

Ben/Joel,
Thanks for the replies. The decal set I found is from Decaldoc (https://shop.decaldoc.de/lng/en/porsche-991-pfaff-motorsports.html). I added my email to the Nunu notification list, hopefully they get it produced.
Regards, Lou

Decaldoc looks interesting…. Oh, great. They have Hankook decals for the F430 GT2. I just spent 20 bucks last week for another livery because I couldn’t find the Shunko Hankook sheet. Ben

Well, I went ahead and ordered the decal set, now I have to hope Nunu releases the kit. Worse case scenario I get the Profil24 kit, albeit that would be a lot more work. The Howmet TX build is stunning, super nice effort.
