Good Afternoon Fellows, Been thrashing away for the past two weeks on converting numerous Burago Ferrari 250 LM I acquired into 330P, 330P2, 330P3 and 412P3 projects I've always wanted. The Burago's DO make a good source of parts. The Engine is OK, chassis nice, interiors usable, wheels OK. I was going to use the diecast bodies for some 330P's but the die cast is just too heavy. The Fujimi is nice but need body mods. I have a Strombecker P2, Monogram 275P, Heller P4 and some painted clear plastic slot car bodies. The diecast bodies I put on ebay for $5. The Burago 275 GTB also has a nice DOHC engine the rest went on eBay. The Revell 250LM is junk except for the transmission, fairly close to the actual 330P. The attached photo is four Burago SOHC engines with two Revell transmissions, one modified with a rear mounted external clutch made from Corvette parts and various spare parts, the other with a Corvette drag racer blower to simulate another tail housing. The chassis is a junk Monogram 1980's 512 Testa Rosa covered in chrome foil with a 1960's 250 SOHC with a Heller 330P4 transaxle. I will get 1967 412P3 Chris Amon or Scarfiotti Can-Am on that but I'm going to Modify with Burago headlight buckets and maybe a mid mounter wing just for fun. The glue, paint and epoxyied engines are drying in the sun so I'm heading out to work on my truck. I'll attached further progress to this thread shortly. The Cobra's are on the back burner while the Ferrari's have my interest. Thanx for viewing, John

Some Cool Beans Man!!! I did a Norwood LSR Ferrari Twin Turbo project a while back, yeah its not done but here is the link race-car-models.proboards.com/thread/419/norwood-ferrari-365gt-bbttii-wip based on a real Norwood car I was having a blast doing it, I just need to finish it. Take a look! Your project has got the juices flowing again, may get wrapped up! Let me know what You think! Chris

Good Afternoon Fellows, Attaching three projects, a 330P2,330P4, 412P3 and a set of wide Firestones for the 412P3. All have the Burago 250LM parts mentioned in first post. The 330P2 is all burago with Lancer P3 (Lancers Best IMHO) slot car body, with centerline Webers. It was painted metallic green when I got it which was really hard to remove so since the seams are still green remnants it will be a metallic green, NOT David Pipers "Sears" Green (I know it's BP green). The second project is Strombeckers 330P2 all Burago as well but with centerline Webers and Dunlops on Dunlop (Lotus 29 slotted wheels) I may make into the Belgian Yellow "Buerly's NART LeMans fastback. The third project is the Amon/Scarfiotti 412P3 Can-Am Spyder. I built this on a junk Testors 512 Testa Rosa chassis. Interior is Burago with Burago 275GTB front engine with Webers in between camshafts and front engine Texas 3M resin 250GTO cut off gearbox moved to rear. Last shot shows the previously mentioned engines but the left and right hand use the upper half of the Crappy Revell 250LM diecast only parts I kept are headlight covers and upper half of transmission. the left hand has a Corvette drag race blower drive mounted on rear end to simulate external clutch mount. The one on the right has an external clutch made from a Chevy four barrel air cleaner (the filter looks like clutch dics) and the tail housing is from a 62 Corvette fuel injection air inlet tube. On the bottom is the stripped Burago 250LM transaxle that you put your own version top gearbox on. The Burago block will accept the SOHC or DOHC camshaft covers. The shot of the tires are WIXX Filter Ford Mark II Firestones lettered in white, no stripes, for the 412P3. Wheels are Burago later 250LM 5 spoke star wheels with Advanced Miniatures Corvette Grand Sport front and rear inner chrome wheel rims glued to the outside gold painted wheels to make the super wide Firestone. Whew, hope you enjoy. Didn't make headers, just painted the Burago pipes white. That Burago plastic is some of the toughest plastic I have ever ground on. Thanx, for viewing.

Hopefully a little less camera shake this time. Haven't touched anything in three weeks due to severe cold. Finally starting to do little tasks like sanding a Cobra, and putting a perforated clutch band around the Ferrari 330P2 transaxle. Had a sheet of Ultracal various 1/24 chrome grills and screens noticed one section had various holes, so cut a strip but sticky wouldn't hold had to hold it in place with a clamp and Super Glue. All the transaxles started out with Burago Ferrari 250 LM engines and lower halves. The Terrible Revell 250 LM gave up the upper half of their transaxles. These are the ONLY 1/2 way decent Ferrari transaxles I can find. I junk the rest of the Revell. Used to use the 1/24 Cox 158 GP car but it was fair at best. Grind off the inboard disc brake rotor to use scrap box thinner rotors. The Burago frame is narrow if you use the stock 250 LM exhausts which don't look bad painted white. The upper middle engine is the Burago with heads removed. The left represents a 330P SOHC fwd clutch and the right has the exposed aft mounted P2 clutch. The P2 DOHC heads are Burago 275 GTB again junking the rest of the Burago. Need to get my recent projects done so I can finish the older ones and donate. Thanx for viewing, John
