For the first time in our 10 year history I chose to use a photo of a Model for the Banner pic. I saw this photo of Randy Derrs Greenwood Corvette in the ACME coverage and was completely blown away. The more I looked the more detail that popped out at me. I have followed Randy's models since about 1984 when he scratchbuilt a Sunaco 1969 Camaro and it appeared on the Cover of Scale Auto mag. Like all of his models it too was Outstanding. I couldnt contact Randy or the Photographer I hope they dont mind this place of Honor on Our forum. CONGRATULATIONS to Randy for another fantastic model and all the exposure it deserves. I want to post more Outstanding Models on our Monthly Banner photo, if you have something you think is appropriate please forward it to me at pmodwrks@hotmail.com Happy Modeling Chris Admin....

As Wayne and Garth from Waynes World would say.....WERE NOT WORTHY ... WERE NOT WORTHY !! Building that from an existing kit would have been impressive enough, but to scratch build a model like that is just insane ! Youtube has a video with Randy showing the model. 3.5 years and 4-5 thousand hours to build. I almost sure i don't have that many hours into building models my entire life. Congratulations to Randy Derr . All awards to this build is no doubt well deserved.

Impressive indeed. Chris, any chance the pic can be made a tad smaller?
Thanks, Ismael

Ismael, I did make it small to make it fit on the Banner. I use Picasa 3 to do all my photo editing , you might copy the photo then then reduce it for your needs. I now it is the largest Banner I have ever used and it would be nice view it without scrolling. Check of Picasa 3 its free to use.. Chris

What I mean is that when you open the forum the pic is too big and takes the whole screen (and a bit more). You don't see it is a forum. It may be confusing. I thought I had inadvertly opened a picture in a new tab.
Thanks, Ismael

I see what you mean but I cant compress it or crop it without losing some of the picture, I will work on it today and see what alternative I can come up with.. Chris
