One of the most important procedures you can do on T-Jets , G-Plus and others is pre-track break in and Lapping the Gears. I have had this idea for a while, a Test & Break in Box to perform this. I went to Hobby Lobby and got a unfinished wood box about the size I wanted ( actually they sell them in a set of 3 nested by size for $7.00) Came home and took a piece of Old Atlas 9 inch straight track , cut out two holes for the tires/wheels added an old 18 Volt Aurora transformer and a on/off switch. assembled what you see here. Didnt cost much but works great. For lapping gear on T-Jets just take the basic chassis assembly and on the gears in the gear plate put a drop of Simi-Chrome Metal polish. Run it on the Break-In box for a minute or two then disassemble and clean out all the gears and chassis. Put it back together and Lube it back up , I use the Liberty Products Synthetic Oil made for slot cars, and it should run 100% smoother and much quieter than before. I am doing a lot of AFX Magana Traction chassis and this set uo is great because the traction magnets clamp it too the rails basically and it will sit there and run . Questions? Please ask.. Thanks for looking, more to come. That's pretty dang cool Chris! Check your PM brother.
