Here are some crappy cell phone pics of the one car model that I’ve finished this year, the Aoshima Lamborghini Aventador SV. I started it back in January and just recently finished it after many, many delays. It mostly went together well. The doors are supposed to be movable, but they fit poorly. I glued them on and was able to deal with most of the gaps. It was a fairly complex kit, because of all of the scoops and such found on Lambos. Paint is Gravity Colors Spain’s Lamborghini Mantis Green with Tamiya LP clear gloss. I noticed while posting the pics on another forum that the rear hatch had popped open, but it’s since been fixed. Not my best work, but it’s a good three footer. Ben

Ben, Love the build and the paint job as it really helps the Lambo make a huge statement. Of course this is about the only way I ever get to see any of these super cars that cost literally a fortune starting in the millions.
I've got just one Aoshima kit in my stash for years, the McLaren F1 GTR, and every time I've opened the box, the complexity of the kit and a decal scheme I'm not really fond of, gets the kit headed right back to the stash once again.

Very cool build Ben. I have an Aoshima Adventador in the stash and will be on the lookout for those ill fitting doors. Yours came out spectacular bud.

Thanks, guys! The Mantis Green is a neat color, with gold flakes that really pops under a clear coat.
Joel, I have the F1 GTR, too, and have been doing the same thing. It looks intimidating in the box, plus the Gulf livery will be a challenge. I’ve got mine up for sale because I don’t think I’ll ever get around to building it. The Murcielago GT1 wasn’t too bad and looked just as intimidating in the box.
Another area that needed some test fitting and tweaking is the green panel that makes up the air scoop on each side behind the side windows. They need to be beveled a little so they fit flush.

Ben, The kit is the long tail. I've seen two different decal sheets that I do like, but are for the short tail. Just might take some modeler's license and go that route when I eventually (if ever build the kit) joel

Now that Calvin has released a correction set for it, I wouldn’t mind building another in Harrod’s livery, but eBay prices for the kit are insane. Ben

Ben Ben, Tell me about out of production kit prices these days on ebay. These guys are just simply pricing themselves out of the market. And the biggest thieves of all seem to be a group from Japan. joel

Yeah, some eBay sellers are nuts. There must be enough idiots out there who are willing to pay stupid money for kits or they wouldn’t be doing it. I’ll certainly be hanging on to my money!

Ben, I'm sure that they still think our streets are paved with Gold. They should just ask me. I can assure them that where I live, we're lucky when every 30 years or so, they actually repave them as the pot holes make this place look like a war zone.
