Back to the Ferraris, what is still pending on the Sharknose? I remember you were working some body fit challenges a long time ago but chassis and engine were done, right? Yes you are correct... the frame, chassis, wheels are all in place... I am just waiting for the correct window of time and conditions to open up for me. Seems like the older I get, the more I have to do! Body fit issues will get resolved but for now, I really need to get the M19A out of the way... or maybe I need to get the 156 out of the way... or maybe that body repaint and rebuild of the Alfa 179... or maybe it is the repaint and redecal of the 312 airbox... wait, maybe it's really... aw hell, I don't know anything except I got my lawn tractor stuck in the mud the other day and I really need to get the lawn cut and baled and a new driver's license. Nah, I'm not busy! (and I didn't even mention taking photos of the house with the new landscaping in order to secure homeowner's insurance... wait, I just did.)

Patrick, You really need to retire like I did, so I had the time (but no longer the energy) to keep up with the endless list of house projects and jobs. You've really confused me at to the need to take pictures of the new landscaping to get Home Owners insurance. We had our Homeowner Ins before we moved in, and never needed landscaping pics, just pics of the house and when we added a enclosed Florida room that use to be the patio.
As for the what seems like an overwhelming list of modeling projects, just focus on one at a time to completion. The M19A always seemed like your priority, so go for the "gold" with that build.

Because of the number of claims being paid, not only in California, but Hawai'i, Florida, Louisiana, Texas and all the tornado states, and because they bottom line of the insurance companies (now banks) are being hurt, they basically are all trying to get out of the homeowner's insurance game even though it is a fixed racket. Our house was redesignated as an "8 out of 10" wildfire risk zone, and as such we are now required to maintain a 5' buffer around the house that cannot contain anything combustible like plants, bushes, firewood, etc. It cannot have vegetation, must be nonflammable and all flammables must be removed from any porches less than 48" in height. The underside of said porch must be screened off by a non-flammable material or 1/2" mesh to prevent debris from accumulating underneath said porch. Bushes must be 5' away and cannot be taller than 12" and must be at least 24" apart. All of this meant removing all topsoil where anything could grow, putting down landscape cloth, the pavers for the edge, and finally gravel. In addition, the mesh mentioned above. We also had to cut down six 6' tall 30 year old shrubs. All of this was about $8K. On top of that, we had the main water line from the meter to the house blow out (of course, under the concrete driveway) and that was another smooth $6500. I didn't do any of the actual work but I had to be there in order to get it done correctly the first time. So, that is why it all had to happen before we could get out HOI written. And of course, it has to be inspected and approved, and then there is a three year maintenance period where I have to, annually, send in photos to make sure we are keeping up with the mitigation. And it has rained every week so my "grass" is over a foot tall and what I couldn't get with the lawn tractor, I have to do with the string trimmer because it is too tall for the push mower... it would just overwhelm it. So about 40% of the lawn has to be hand done. On top of that, my wife changed employers after 32.5 years and has been in training for the last 3 weeks... so I am feeling a lot of stress. But I will get back to it... soon I hope. I have 5 days off starting 4/26 so maybe I can get something done. I'm not meaning to complain, just explain! So, yeah... I got that going for me, too.

Sorry, Paul for hijacking your thread... Ferraris are still my favorite racing platform... today.
