AFX - JC told me about this site (thanks JC). I'm (so far) not a builder, but have a few starts and have enough unbuilts to keep me busy for many years. My primary interests run from the Old USRRC Series through the Can-Am and Trans-Am series ending in '74. Hopefully I'll be adding Builts sooner than later.

Art and Chris Thanks for the greetings. I used to build Kits Waaaaayyy back when. I switched from Static to Slot Cars while Kennedy was President. Now as to the chances of me showing up in Chastworth, on a Sclae of 1 - 10 you're gonna need a larger Scale if you're hoping for a whole number . I grew up in the San Fernando Valley (Sylmar - left in '67) and REALLY do my best Not to spend any more time there than a crowded Freeway forces me too. But thanks for the Invite! Ed

Well Ed...I too grew up in Sylmar. My oldest brother Keith graduated Sylmar High in 66. My other brother Larry in '72. But our street was the dividing line between Sylmar Hi and San Fernando Hi districts and we lived on the wrong side. So after my older brothers went to Sylmar a mile away, I got to go to SF 4 miles away. Now I live out in the Antelope Valley where I sometimes encounter Roadrunners in my yard. I too hate to venture back into that mess that is so different from where we grew up.
Welcome to the group.

I had 2 Cousins that would have been in Keiths Graduating Class. 1 Moved away in '65 the other was in your brothers Class. I'm guessing you were on Hubbard Street. I was on Glenoaks. So you're in Antelope Valley now, huh? My Cousin that Graduated with your brother, lives with his older sister and her husband in Quartz Hill!

If we continue this discussion, it should probably be via PM or email or... But nope...not Hubbard, Oro Grande on the SW side of San Fernando Rd. Below "Honda Hills". Maybe 1/2 mile from where you lived.
