Hi and welcome Darylh. Thats a great looking build, thanks for sharing. A update on mine- I've got the small access holes on top of the fenders closed up and the body ready to paint. After opening up between each spoke on all four kit wheels I found a set of resin MiniLite wheels from Replicas and Miniatures in the parts box. They are beautiful and far better than the kit wheels. As with most of my projects its racing along at a glacier's pace!

Just quick update, I zerox'ed the Patto's decal sheet and cut out the markings to do a dry run test fit. Good thing I did. They are (the # 91 car) quite oversized. Also they have kind of a grainy surface to them. So this wouldn't do for the ol' Scarab. I have Gary Sleeper working on a new set for me. You Indy guys out there are familier with his work. Gary does beautiful decals. The sheet will have both the #91 Laguna Seca and #77 Nassau cars on it. If anyone would like a set of these let me know. Factoring in his set up/artwork/printing fee the cost per sheet will be $8 including postage. www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/december-8-1963-a-j-foyt-on-his-way-to-victory-in-the-news-photo/136138168

Great. If we get a some more sold the price could come down. I'm just trying to cover expenses. It will be a month or two'ish as Gary has a boatload of other decals he's working on now.

For anyone interested in the very cool '64 Scarab version with the cut out wheels, etc., here's the best photo I've found of the large vent type of buldge on the rear deck. It surprised me in that it is just bolted/screwed on. I use to think it was flared smoothly into the deck. Also this is a great overall detail shot. Go to this link and click on the photo. JC, yep there's progress in spite of having about a dozen other projects all going on at the same time. Sorry I missed your post of the 13th. The decals for Foyt's #77 Nassau car are done. The cost is $8 per sheet plus a $1 for mailing (will cover multiple sheets). The #91 Laguna Seca car decals are done also, but I'm not happy with the size of the white #9's. They should be about a 1/16" smaller over all. This is my error not Gary's. The sheets do not include the white nose to tail stripe. PM me if interested.
