This new tool was just announced back at the Shizouka Hobby Show back in May, which would put it on the bottom of the pile underneath several rally subjects, but for whatever reason it's been pushed straight through to the top. So we have the completed test shot/decal fit builds done up for the upcoming All Japan Model & Hobby Show this coming weekend. In the "why you should care" section this car is the predecessor to the Toyota Corona EXIV kit that Tamiya did, and in the 1994/1995 season raced against the BMW 318i and Honda Civic Ferio which Hasegawa has reissued over the past 18 months. 1994 is also the season that JTCC and JGTC (what would become Super GT) split and the Gr. A GT-Rs would migrate over there leaving JTCC to become a touring sedan racing series. In particular with these kits the #36 car won the JTCC Championship in '94. 21618017_1462897160412271_6265667934520455896_n by James Duff, on Flickr 21687843_1462897167078937_8840571409886782196_n by James Duff, on Flickr

This one doesn't excite me much but any new racing kit is a good thing. I would like to have a set of those wheels though. Would like to see the Ford Mondeo BTCC kitted. Tamiya did a 1/10 scale RC kit, surprised they haven't done a 1/24 scale model.
