In 1964 Le Mans tests, this one: And made with the excellent IMC base, more thirty years ago(today I have just the photos of it): I've lost this one many years ago,in a great storm in Guadeloupe, but if I did make this car today,I'll change the wheels, with wire wheels more exact with the real car!... Greetings.

I bought two restorable examples of this kit last year, as well as a J-car and MK II as well as an unbuilt Mk II. Very interesting kits to say the least!

I built this one maybe 25 years ago.

Interesting that you and Bernard both chose to build the same version and both chose to use the Halibrand wheels instead of the wires. They wind up as very similar models.
Bernard, I lost a bunch of model cars in a large earthquake in 1971. So I understand what such a loss can be like.

I could probably use the wire wheels from the 289 Cobra or Cougar II. I probably have 2-3 buildable IMC MKI kits and several MKII's.

That wasn't a negative criticism.
I have a long standing dislike for wire wheels. The 1st race cars I ever worked on were a pair of then brand new Lotus 11s. I was assigned to cleaning their wire wheels. I was about 4 years old. A little kid's fingers get in between wire wheel spokes way better than adults fat fingers. I learned years later that the Lotus factory had piles of wheels out back in a muddy yard of sorts. That explained how the wheels on a pair of brand new race cars could be so terribly grubby.
I was very pleased when I saw the 1st pics out of the Ford GTs under Shelby stewardship with Halibrand wheels. I've built all of my Ford GT models with Halibrands. So even for that Ford GT, wires are correct, but....
