Cleaning mold release??

OK I have a Lemans Miniatures Mazda MXR-01 Group C kit and I wanted some feedback on cleaning the mold release off it, I am a firm believer that Oven Cleaner and other caustic chemicals are not good for Us, the environment or model builders, so I am looking for something that wont give me cancer or kill my furbabies.. I know about Bleach-white, Bleach and others...most of the time I use lacquer thinner, or 90% alcohol but there is a lot of fine detail mostly the entire chassis , engine etc and want to do it right... I use warm water and dishwashing detergent. Like you, I'm not fond of caustic chemicals and resin casters have told me that you don't need anything stronger.
