That is coming along real nice, Joel. One thing I learned from my Dad and others later, Always paint All the model pieces , even if they wont be seen, even if say the area is white and going to be White paint it. Paint every piece of the model. I didnt think it mattered but it will increase the look of the finished model.. Sometimes its a pain but its worth it..Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next update.. Chris

Way to much effort to take those kind of short cuts. I'll paint the inside nose section white next time I've got the air brush out. Joel

Well, it's been two weeks since my last update. I've focused all my efforts continuing to detail the engine/transmission bay. All the small details including the air intakes for the fuel injection, over flow tank/with chassis bracing, and various lines. For aluminum tube lines I used Silver solder, for rubber hosing I used black wire insulation, and for braided lines Detail Master's braided line. I still have more to do, but I'm getting there. Every single mistake and visual error just pops right out with these macro images, that I didn't see prior to taking them. So I'll have to re-focus my efforts on correcting them one by one to the best of my ability. And finally, I installed the rear half stafts and brake hubs both front and rear. Slowly but surely, I'm getting closer to getting into the paint booth with the front and rear body shells. Here's a few pictures of where I'm at with my build. Joel

It is a challenge to build for the camera so to speak but it's coming along nicely.

It is a challenge to build for the camera so to speak but it's coming along nicely. JC, Ain't that the truth. Especially when all the close ups were taken with my Nikkor 105mm Macro lens. Most of those images were 2:1 or so. Every little error, screw up, and self created issue is just magnified to the nth degree. Joel

It's looking good Joel. The camera(macro setting) is an outstanding tool for scale building. It picks up the small things that our eyes slip by. I learned to use it to my advantage quite a few yrs ago.
