They need to trade the cars for canoes! For a while, it looked like everyone was spending more time off the track than on it. Too bad about the 66 car.
Looking forward to the Indycals. I was mostly indifferent to the Ford GT until I saw the Castrol colors on it. Sometimes, it's all about the livery.

Indycals Test fit!! both liveries are coming along well... Chris Chris, Michael at IndyCals sure looks like he's done it again. His work is just top quality, as is your decaling. And as far as being a Penske fan goes, I've been one since I started following road racing through the pages of Road & Track in 1965. And once I met Mr. Penske and Mark Donahue at Bridgehampton for the 1967 USRRC, I was their #1 fan. Still miss Capt. Nice, and Mr. Penske is still the best of the best. Joel

No Doubt, Penske is one of the best, 16 Indy wins!! Multiple wins in every category he has entered, love some of the very early Nassau stuff , the Zerrex Spl. USRRC car was mind blowing and on and on though out the history of all types of racing.. not saying I am not a Penske fan , just when you personally know the guy competing in the Daytona 24, and leading, its kinda special and I have to cheer him, and Alonso on to Victory. The Acura DPi is just too new, fragile and a unknown quantity to just run away with a victory.. just saying. Chris

There won't be another one like him for a long, long time if ever. And of course you should be rooting for your friend. I know that I certainly would. Joel

and Jordan, Alonso and Kobasashi & Van Der Zande (yeah I butchered Kobi's name.....) Win!!! Thanks to Whelen and their Motorboating while in the lead, ya gotta know Alonso would have passed them wet or dry! Congratulations to Wayne Taylor Racing and I am miffed at why the Ford GT Gannassi car was penalized out of First in GTLM... Good Wet race though... Chris

I am out of town and I was dying to see the race. I once watched like 18 of the 24 hours back in the Speedvision days. As much as I love IMSA, the IMSA app is the worst, unresponsive, unintuitive app ever in the history of apps! It crashes more than NASCARs in the rain. Very disappointed. All I could get was intermittent glimpses of timing and scoring without any idea what was going on. I left my Corvettes in decent places and came back to see them several laps down. I have no idea what happened. Good to see RLL winning the 24. Of course I root for my guys of Corvette Racing, but if not, then I root for the Ferrari as it is the underdog team running a single car. Then the Porsche for its legacy, looks and sounds. Then the BMW for their efforts. The Ford GT liveries were beautiful this year. As you can tell I'm a GTLM fan. Chris, do you have "pull" with Indycals? I have a couple liveries I'd love to see decals for. Some of them have some alternatives but he would be superior.
Thanks,

Ismael, Michael and I have been Modeling friends for many years and we do from time to time discuss certain liveries , He has made me several custom decals, like the Santa Ana script for the 69 Eagle nose and the Alan Mann script for the side of the Gt40 AMR 01/02 builds, but at a reasonable cost. Contact him at indycals.net and share your ideas/requests ( heck tell him I sent Ya ) he is always open to suggestions, particularly if they have the potential for sales.. Chris

I have to say I liked the Motorcraft GT. Then there is the Penske "pull" I have been a fan since the Fittipaldi days. Emmo had a way; "these tires is sheet".

Fair warning it's opinion time!
I find the current prototypes completely uninspiring, they are close to a spec chassis with the only real variation the engine. And the LMP2 category is completely a spec series, they are there just to make up the numbers. They could eliminate them altogether as far as I'm concerned and replace them with GTLM and/or GTD entries.

I feel the same way. The prototypes got boring after the '90s. Today's cars all look like Cylon Raiders (the Ron Moore version) with wheels. The GT cars are far more interesting to me.
As for Penske, the Sunoco blue Ferrari 512M, Lola T70 Spyder and 67/68 Camaro are a couple of my favorites. I had literally just decided to order Paul Fisher's 512 kit for Christmas when the fires hit him.
