I was surprised to see that it will be broadcast on NBC. It looks like the DPs are moving closer to becoming a spec class.

Well, I have Cablevision who lists the start of the race @ 2pm on NBC sports/channel 225, which is no longer NBC Sports, it's now channel 212. But channel 212 doesn't have it listed for 2pm. So back to searching and I finally found it listed on channel 212 @ 9pm to 3AM. So I'll have to record it. but then I decided to see when it's being aired on Sunday. Now get this: 6am to 3pm live. So what's the point of recording the 1st half of the race if I won't get to watch it till after the 2nd half of the race? Of course I can also record the 2nd half, then spend the rest of the week watching bits and pieces till I get through the entire race. But what's the odds of not seeing any posts or reports on the final results.
Let me once again publicly state how much I truly hate Cablevision. My monthly bill for all 3 services is $197. We don't need the phone service as we both have cells, but dropping it would cause my bill to actually go up. And we certainly don't need the literally 100s of stations that are mostly useless to us, and have no options as to what stations we want other then premium packages that just add to our monthly bill. All the tvs in the house are HD. But cable still insists are airing every station both in HD & SD. Just a total waste of bandwidth, and claiming more viewable choices to watch.
As I posted, they can't even get their channel guide correct.
So I guess I'll just watch the start of the race till I fall asleep, then record the 6am-3pm and watch it Sunday night. BTW, did I happen to mention how much I hate cable. FIOS isn't available in my development as we have in ground wiring, and the contract doesn't allow for FIOS lines. I'd switch in a second's time if I could.

We have Dish TV and other than having to get the top tier package for F-1 live from Europe its pretty good, with all the Movie channels and Sports channels ( I only watch racing No Ball & Stick sports for me ) unfortunately its $147 a month , includes a phone line, for ordering pay per view movies and events. Most important I have basically had NO Problems, out here in the desert with winds up to 70mph and temps from 25 degrees to 120 degrees depending on the season, thats pretty amazing. we have had some interruptions during lightening storms but only for a few minutes.. Oh the race is pretty much covered on channel 159 today, including a 1 hour preview.........!! Chris

I do get a ton of Racing. My complaint is about Cable TV. Like I said, we get a million stations, half are in reality the HD version of the SD station. I'm still trying to get my wife to understand the difference and how to watch HD TV since I converted all the TVs to HD including the BIG screen in the Den. How they can always get the channel guide wrong drives me nuts. there's been plenty of races that I've recorded that turned out not to have been on when it was listed. FIOS here is the best by far, but like I said, Cable made sure it's not available in my neck of the woods. Time for another confession: I'm a life long NY Yankee fan, and now that I'm retired, I never miss a game. But then again, now I have all the time in the world. Just ask my wife what I do with all of it. Joel

Race is on NBC Sports, NBC Sports App, and IMSA.TV.
Have to say, that so far, I'm quite impressed with NBC Sport's coverage. (Pre-race and about 30 minutes in.)
Pulling for Mazda in DPi, Alex Zanardi's BMW in GTLM, and Kat Legge's Acura in GTD. (And note to model companies - how about an NSX GTD kit.)

Yes to an NSX GTD kit! I'd also like to see GT3 versions of the Huracan (better yet, a Gallardo) and Ferrari 488.
And somebody please release some decals for that #67 Ford GT! Love the Castrol colors!

Bummer the race has been red flagged for rain. So I'm just recording a rain delay. Just checked the weather and for the rest of the day 70+% change of rain with winds in the mid to high teens. Sure doesn't sound like the race is going to restart any time soon or at all. Joel

Just got up a bit ago to see that Yellow caused by Whatever the heck that Red Car was Flying through the field and smackin a few other cars... Its Raining Guys! Good to see Alonso out front too. I am a bit biased as Jordan Taylor is a friend of mine and I have to root for the Cady and WTR ..as much as I know many will want Penske Acura to win.. I gotta say I am Pulling for #10 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing for the win...oooops strike 1 Penske Acura!
