I built this shortly after AK won his championship. At this time Monogram only had their out dated (chassis wise) T Bird kits but then they released the "Days of Thunder" kits which had at the time, at least to me, an updated chassis so what I did here was adapt one of those to the Ford, including the engine. The result :

Great job Ron! The sit and Detail along with the overall look( paint & Decal work) is outstanding.

Ron, Alan Kulwicki was one of my all time favorite drivers when I followed Nascar racing. Actually, he was #2 right behind Wild Bill Elliot, & in front of Mark Martin on my short list. I still remember his magical 1992 championship. Unfortunately, I also remember the day he died; April 1, 1993.
Your Hooters #7 Ford really brings back some great memories. So thanks for sharing your special build with us.

Here's my "Underbird"! Kulwicki was always one of my favorites as he chose to be an owner/driver not from the Carolinas and he took a lot of crap for it. He was honest, forthright, and a good driver. It was a sad day when he died!

Ron, That car brings back a lot of good memories. Great job on it. Car looks like I remember. Alan was the ultimate underdog and showed he can do it his way and be a champion. Was very sad when he past on to the great race track in the sky. A side note his engine builder was a frind of mine when a teen. Had a badazz Chevell.
