Oh yea ! Love the JPS ! One of my all time favorite cars. I have that kit as well as the Matra, Renault RE20 Turbo, and Lola T-70 MkIII from Tamiya, Lotus Europa from Nichimo, and '67 427 Corvette from Monogram.

I have that kit as well as the Matra, Renault RE20 Turbo, and Lola T-70 MkIII from Tamiya, Lotus Europa from Nichimo, and '67 427 Corvette from Monogram. The Matra and the four wheeled Tyrrell are two of the hardest big scale kits to find and I missed them by a couple of days two weeks ago. According to my research, my paltry 23 big scale cars is less than half of what is available. Ever want to sell that Matra, let me know! As far as the Lola T-70 Mk III, is that a big scale kit? The RE20 Turbo I have built twice... the first I gave away (and it was returned to me two years ago very much the worse for wear as it had been knocked off a shelf and even the plexi case was cracked...) and the second I kept for me! Here is said RE20 Turbo...

Nicely done, esp. the Protar kits! I'm guessing the Renault is Tamiya but I'm not 100% sure! What else are you looking for in 1/12? I might be able to help. Yes, the Tamiya Lola is 1/12.

Thanks 4Wheels (Brian). Yes the McLaren is the Protar kit. The 641/2 and the Renault are both Tamiya. When I first reentered the model building world back somewhere around 1984, it was with Alfa Romeo 179C which was a dog of a race car. I saw it at Las Vegas in 1980. After that I did a few airplanes and came back to 1/12th after seeing the work of Dennis Koleber (Denniskoleber.com/). I started the JPS right after that... I have 9 completed and 14 more in the pile. I am interested in finding the two "holy grails" in the 1/12th world... the Tamiya Matra and the Tamiya Tyrrell 003. I made up a spreadsheet of all the different F-1 models out there in all the scales and I am sure I missed a few. I had no idea there were over 50 kits in the Tamiya "Big Scale" line. Many of them are just repops but have PE added. I am on the look out for the Protar 1/12 Ferrari 312T5. I missed it by a day from a guy in AZ. He also had the Matra and the 003 but they got gobbled up. Is the Lola an F-1 kit? Thanks again for the words!

Nope, the Lola is not an F1.

I was a little confused by your reference the the 641/2 as the Ferrari pic above is clearly the 126 C2, then I looked at your introductory post in the welcome thread and I saw your 641/2! I have both of those kits in MY pile, not a huge Ferrari fan but they will get built someday. My 641/2 is the Clear-View version, I may attempt a 1/2 clear/1/2 painted build. The only 1/12 project on my bench right now is a Tamiya McLaren M23 being done as Denny Hulmes' 1974 South African GP Pole Winner, amazingly his only pole in his entire F1 career! Going to be an "extra detail" project (read: long term!). Brian

Nice 1/12th builds. I've got about 19 of the Tamiya 1/12 cars, but have gotten addicted to the MFH 1/12th line-up. The Lola they are refering to is this kit.

Thanks, 2whl! I appreciate the info. Would love to build this but have so many already to get done! Looks like a great kit!

Can't see much but the noses but this is part of my summer project... to get a shelf built and then do all the minor repairs, such as wings and wheels, etc.

Thanks but my budget is busted for this month! I bought a Matra! If I had the money, I scoop that and a 312T3 that’s out there! I appreciate your help!
