I live in a pine forest. So, a yearly ritual is cleaning the pine sap off my cars and trucks. This stuffs pretty agressive, and I wondered? Yes, it cleans plastic parts. Just spray some on, wait a bit (varies 20 -40 mins), scrub with toothbrush, repeat if necessary, thoroughly rinse with water. Removes paint easily, chrome with 2 applications, doesn't hurt the plastic as long as its not on too long. Caution, will remove fingerprits - from your fingers! Wear gloves.

That is a very good question. I plan on doing a lot of experrimenting and I'll definately post the results.
