Excellent build Joel. If I didn't have so many kits already, I'd be ordering a couple on-line

Ben & 2whl, Thanks so much for your thumbs up, it's greatly appreciated. I keep on looking at the K2 & K3 parked next to each other. They do make a striking pair of lookers.

An absolutely superb job as usual Joel. I don't know how you got those decals on.

Turned out great Joel. Really like the brake cooling disks on the wheels.

Congratulations Joel! That's a great looking race car! A challenge has been conquered. All the details add up. Love the hood pins, wipers, PE grilles, tires, harness etc. The decaling is top notch as well.
Thanks,

Thanks guys, I can't tell you how much I truly appreciate your most positive comments and thumbs up. I have two hobbies: Race car Modeling, and Sim racing. While I love sim racing, lets just say that it plays 2nd fiddle to car modeling. But both help me relax and spend time in my little private world before I come back down to earth.
The Porsche 935 K3 from Nunu basically was the Beemax kit with a few new molded parts. The kit was a pure joy to build with literally no issues that I didn't cause. The scheme I decided on was simply because Bobby Rahal, a personal favorite from his Cart days was one of the drivers, and that Apple was the main sponsor which was both super colorful and I've never seen them as a sponsor before. I did have my doubts about the decals wrapping around the turbo charger radiator intakes, but I managed to get them basically into the proper orientation. Not perfect by any means. My other main goal was to finally get a paint job, smooth as silk, and with a mile deep finish. To this end, I honest think I succeeded. So now my painting bar has been kicked up a few notched. I certainly hope that I can maintain that level moving on.
It took a while to finally decide what model to tackle next, and since it's been quite a while since I built an open wheeler, I've decided on Tamiya's 1/20 scale Lotus Honda 99T driven by Senna at Monaco.

Jchristf,
I'll be more then glad to answer any questions about my technique that you may have. In my last few build blogs I've gone into great detail on how I paint, what paints, flow psi, & decal prep.
