Paul, Just an amazing build. As for Lyn St. James, outside of Danica Patrick, she's my all time favorite female driver. Both of them were by far the equal of any of the guys on the grid for any race.
I'd say you just nailed this build for sure. And yep, you can see quite a lot through the rear window.
I've also noticed a few times that a few of Michael's decals are slightly to large, but nothing that I couldn't handle. Decals seem to have gotten a little thinner, but conform even better.
If you're having issues with Tamiya Gloss Clear, try Mr. Color's C46 Gloss Clear thinned 2 parts clear to 3 parts Mr. Leveler's #400 thinner. Just amazing stuff.

Thanks everyone for the replies and kind comments.
And thanks for the tip Joel, but I don't use an airbrush.

I wonder if anyone has done the decals for this car I remember there being a resin cast body for this year. Does anyone still sell them?

Do I win a prize for guessing correctly? Speaking of Lynn, there is a video involving her driving the Probe GTP, a GTP Corvette and a Group 44 Jag accident at Riverside back in the day that will cause you to pucker like nobody's business.... Riverside 1986 accident

Trying to remember where we got the decals, but I am sure they were 1/24 scale that my painter enlarged on his printer. If I can find them, they are yours for the asking.

Riverside 1986 accidentI've seen that too many times. How the three of them walked away I don't know. Personally I think Doc Bundy should have been shot, but I'm probably biased. I was (am) a big fan of Lyn, I thought she was a superb driver. Here's your prize, what was left of the Probe:

Thank you! A good friend of mine got to meet her at the Honda Dealership he worked at. As he was the only one who actually had a clue who she was (the resident racing geek) he took her out on a test drive for the then new NSX.
I was watching that race. Group 44 was the hometown racing team (Winchester, VA) so we watched any race we could. I still drive by the team shop once in a while. It's an auto repair shop now. PTG took it over after Group44 closed up and many who work for them moved over to them. They were regular customers to my hobby shop and built many 1/43 kits for them over the years. Heard lots of cool stories as well.

Competition Resin and BHP both offered a Trans-Am Mustang in 1/25. BHP offered several decal options, but I don't think the Newman car was one of them. Sadly they are almost impossible to find today. Sorry don't mean to hijack the thread. Beautiful build of the Secret Mustang. You just convinced me to get a set of the decals. For what it's worth, I think we all had a "secret" crush on Ms. St. James BITD.

Contact Competition Resin and also Slixx decals they both had some stock on the the Competition Resin body a little while back. Here's one for you, when Slixx was considering their move from Los Angeles area to where they are now I made an offer and came very, very close to buying that company! Stranger things have happened... Chris
