Very nicely done. I built a resin one many years ago and I must say this looks fantastic. By using the nose and rear section from the other Fujimi kits, do you think this transkit would be suitable for doing the 65 Roadster version?

The Chris Amon / Ken Miles spyder version? I'd be more interested in that.

The '65 roadster is not one you can build from the Fujimi kit accurately. Conceivably you can using this trans kit and a Fujimi MK I release. You should use either the IMC (recommended)or Aurora/Monogram/Revell (works in a pinch, easier and cheaper to find)kit. Those were based on the early chassis known as the MK.I in common parlance. The Fujimi is a MK II based kit. Yes, I know they issued the kit with Mark I bodywork, but it retains the MkII center section and that is what is in need of modification to build an accurate representation. There is a one coming from DDP Models, 65 roadster used by Ford of France at Le mans and Ford AFV at Targa Florio. It will be pricey, but well worth it.
Calvin, do I get a free one in appreciation for the myriad of photos I sent you of this car?

I have no idea, I haven't studied that possibility yet....

This is the car I was thinking of, it's an all aluminum spyder built by Bruce McLaren for Ford:

Great work on this conversion Calvin. Ever since I learned the back story of this very cool car...I wanted to build it. Annnd.... Like you, I didn't notice the difference in the windshield until you pointed it out(posted on another forum). I of course...had to get this kit. Now...looking at that Mosport X1 that arcticwolf posted ...that would be really be cool if you did one of those conversions...

This car is Chassis X-1, a.k.a Chassis GT110, the same car that won the 1966 Sebring race. Shelby American obtained the car from Bruce Mclaren (on Fords Instructions) and it was equipped with Ford Mk II nose and Tail and had a roll cage installed. This from the "Holy Book" GT40s. I told Calvin this and the rest of the history of the car when he asked about it months ago on this forum. The version pictured was raced in Group 7 events driven by Chris Amon
As this would require a totally new body, I doubt Calvin would tackle it. He seems to just modify kit parts, and doesn't do a too shabby of a job of it either.

Monogram did a 1/24th scale slot car of this car. Haven't been able to acquire one as they all have been above my pain threshold that I am willing to pay.

Not the same car. That is the early, GT Roadsters, chassis 108,109 and 111 build by Ford Advanced Vehicles. Chassis 108 never raced, only tested by Shelby American. Chassis 109 was raced by Ford of France in the '65 Lemans race, prepped by Shelby American. Chassis 111 was raced only once at the 1965 Targa Florio. The Monogram Slot Car is based on the Ford of France car. One of my favorite liveries.

For those who want the authentic colors for the 1966 Shelby American Entries: Ford Rangoon Red for Car #1, Ford Acapulco Blue Metallic for Car #2

Same car, different nose. I'm not 100% sure but the car # matches Ken Miles at Riverside:
This car was built by McLaren, it was way lighter than a GT40, 427 powered. Ford took it back from Bruce after I think only the one race (Mosport), I guess since they paid for it, lol. Chris Amon wasn't unhappy, he thought the car was very uncompetitive as a group 7. If Shelby got it then the Ken Miles entry might be right.
Correction: not Riverside, Bahamas ...sorry !

I have no idea, I haven't studied that possibility yet.... I have seen the DDP kit in the works and it does like nice but I expect it will be somewhere in the $150 range. The X-1 would be a great conversion kit also to fil in the gap. Hats off to Mark for his decals for the 67 Daytona cars and the conversion kits from chaparel2k to build accurate MKII's. I have read the first nine chapters of The Ford that beat Ferrari today and if you want a comprehensive list of the differences between MKI and MKII and MKIV's race by race this book is the best I have seen. The color pictures are fantastic and almost every picture points out small details. It is as if John Allen wrote them with modelers in mind.
