What's not to like. You're doing an excellent job on it. Thank you very much...

So...I am not perfect, I was attempting to paint the rear wing mount and main cowl .. the paint shrunk and wrinkled/ after some major sanding and priming. I went to my buddies body shop and used his booth and advice to get the white layed down. Then last night trying to get the decals to lay smooth, well that didn’t happen either. So now I have to start all over again with paint and order another set of decals.. I am frustrated, but I will get past this and will be moving forward. Thank you for letting me rant

Oh man!!!!! I HATE that when that happens. Sounds like a dissimilar paint issue which I've had in the past as well. Had a whole paint job with flames and all and it went straight to Hell when I had the same thing happen to me. Sorry to hear about that Chris but know you'll shine through on the other side of this temporary set back.

Which decals were they? I am figuring on using white paint on the airbox as the first coat. I did that on the T4 striping around the body and then used the decals to hep hide unstraight lines. Sorry to hear this happen!

Thank you for letting me rant Hey Chris, I'm hopping onto this build late but I must say that the engine compartment looks great, clean work so far - purchasing the brake ducts was well worth it as these were always the part that takes away from the realism on this Ferrari as a scale model - always have been.
With that many PE parts this should look fantastic in the end ... I always love to see a build with that many upgraded elements - so worth the money in my opinion.
The paint issue is not something you should feel badly about - as I have had it happen to me a few times over the years and I'm sure if I investigated each incident thoroughly enough I would have figured out what had gone wrong - and I'm sure like an aircraft accident it was a combination of things happening all at once to spoil the party. The crazy thing is that you can try again thinking nothing has changed and you get a perfect finish - it's just one of those things.
And having said all that - a perfect finish on a body is certainly the hardest thing to achieve in this hobby.

Patrick no photos, as far as the paint goes it was laid on to thick, I didn’t give it enough time to flash between coats and it was a little too cool outside. The decals where Cartograf, they need a lot of patience to get them to sit nicely on curves. I just worked them too much trying to be perfect and got too many air bubbles in them.

Chris, Where do you get your harnesses for the vintage F1 stuff? Hard to find... all I can find (except from Italy) is modern stuff.

Replicas and Miniatures Co. of Maryland has (or had) a really nice set in resin. Contact Norm and see if he has any. I don't have his e-mail handy, sorry.
