I was afraid of that. I have their Ligier 1/12th kit yet to build. I took a good look at it and put it back in the box. One day I'll get to it, I'm in no hurry there! I plan on using their M7 kit to convert to a M10 F5000 car, but other than that, I try to avoid them. I have seen some very nice finished products of Heller stuff, but I think it took skill and patience to do it. Good luck with the Porsche, so far you are winning!
ps: I can translate the French if you need any help, not that it would be much help.
I also have the Heller Ligier kit, Paul! Once I get through the Ferrari era, I might take it on and then the Matra. Only thing is, I hate the plastic tires in the kit. I have tried to find rubber tires from another vendor but not having much luck! How's this for an oddball? I have a Ferrari 1512 kit, 1/12th scale made by UPC, whoever they were. It's a bit crude, but I'm going to give it a try.

Patrick G. has a 1512 UPC Kit that I was helping with by supplying parts cars for, I sent a 1/12 312B Tamiya and a Honda F-1 Tamiya 1/12 built up parts cars for parts, I know he had started it but was cut short due to Connie passing then he had to move so I am sure we will see it come to light in the future. It was looking very cool so far. I will have to see if I can find pics.. Chris

You wouldn't happen to have the lower part of the front cowling by any chance? Mine seems to be missing.

Although it may seem like not much has been done, but actually quite a bit has been done both in the photo and in sub-assemblies . Adding a fuel system has been tough, making the plug wire separators was no fun the balancing act called the front frame and assembling it was a PIA but I am enjoying it,,, well more to come as I spend an hour or two daily is getting it a step closer.... Did some tedious work on the engine/fuel injection, I drilled the holes next to the intake trumpets, inserted small A/N fittings in each , I had to do a bit of research to get each in the correct position, added the 12 white injection lines , drill the 12 holes in the injection pump, then routed each tube forward to the pump, gathered them all up using photo etch wire ties . Each tubing had to clear the Intake trumpets and fan shroud, so routing them was critical. They will get attached to the injection pump after I add the 24 ignition wires... Tedious! but coming along. I had toned the fiberglass pieces, they were a kind of red/orange then I used a mixture of black and rust paints thinned into a wash and painted them to get them closer to the real car. I am working slowly but making progress almost every day! Chris

Chris, Absolutely amazing detailing. I'm truly impressed. The fuel injection lines by the intake trumpets really make a huge difference.

Progress! There are 13 Ignition wires per distributor and 12 injection lines per side on this engine. I showed the Injection lines ( i am wishing they were a bit smaller diameter now) and the last few days I did the 12 Plug wires for the one side of the engine + coil wire. When putting the top plate with the injection lines its a lot to squeeze in between the Intake trumpets and get it all flat in place. I first figured out to glue the wire looms on to the block and adjust them to get the wire through, had to re-glue most, the start at the distributor and run the wires down to the heads.. well the pics speak for them selves. I have to do the wire on the other side, and connect each injection line to the metering unit on the far side.. hope its not as patience trying as this side.. I was looking at the fins on the rear body work and the resin casting was not too clean, plus I liked the 917 Coupe fins more so I cut them off the resin body, they are separate parts on the coupe and taped them in place and think they look much better.. I am starting to do the body work so Much More to come!! Chris

That wiring must have been quite the task.

Chris, OMG!!
The ignition wiring and the fuel injector lines are beyond any in auto modeling I've ever seen. You Sir just have to be what we called in Aircraft modeling a Alien for sure.
