Okay, this is just nuts. Model and modeller, both.
And I mean that in the best possible way.

Chris, As usual your work is just top notch. If I didn't know it was a model, I'd be complaining to Chris and JC that you're posting pictures of the real car after Photo Shopping it so that the background is your workbench. That's just how good your modeling is.
I'm shocked to hear that you've been battling Lymphoma. My twin, younger brother (20 min my jr.) was diagnosed with it 2 months ago and just had his 3rd Chemo treatment. Blood levels are low but have literally been at Zero at times so he's been in the hospital basically every other week. He's beating the Cancer as of now which is the main thing. Of course just yesterday he fell at home not following Dr. Orders to use a walker, and ended up back in the Hospital needing stitches and a cat scan. So believe me I know exactly what you're going through. This makes your progress on the 917 even more amazing.

You always have something nice to say and itโs really appreciated ๐ Yes life did kick me a curve ball, but I am getting better and things are slowly getting back to where I should be. I hope your brother is on the mend and the meds are helping, no one should have to go through any thing like this.

Chris, I took my brother to the cancer/blood center this morning for his blood tests and all his stats are getting better and better. last week's scans at the hospital showed the Bone Marrow cancer almost completely gone, and the Lymphoma in remission. Just fantastic news. Next week is #4 Chemo of 6 treatments. And number 3 was the 1st time that the Chemo didn't put him right back in the hospital with horrid Blood work results.
I'm hoping and praying for you to follow in his path.

I have been a little busy but, it has taken me a while to get this done. I got the parts painted last week and had ambitions of getting it done sooner. Had to get a blood transfusion and threw a curveball into my plans. So on with the build!! I got the rear uprights, brakes, sway bars and shocks done. I should try to show the rear axles, which I think came out well.
Thanks for looking Chris

Chris, Glad that the blood transfusion worked and your white and red blood cell counts are up. Platelets are a whole separate issue.
The installed engine and rear suspension looks amazing. Honestly, I'd be hard pressed to tell it from the real deal. the metal parts all look like polished metal slightly different in finish as they're different metals.

Had a good week at the bench! Check out the teeny tiny decals on the dash...I almost went cross eyed putting these on.
