thanks Ismael, Time for a new project but not the end for Grand Sport Corvettes. Future projects will involve more body work and research about what exactly was under the hood of these cars.

I always liked the Jacques Coutre GS, I have a magazine showing John Surtees in his Lola T-70 sitting below the GS fender titled: "John Surtees looks apprehensively at Jacques Coutre's GSs vents"! Think I'll do both these and the Elvis "Spin Out" roadster. I received a second Accurate Minatures chassis only, I want to do two stand alones, one with the 377 Hemi-Head secret engine(never installed But I bet it was) with interior and one bare, no wheels, just suspension and brakes. I just picked up 5 engine stands I will use for various engines: Ford, Chevy, and others. Also just received 8 jack stands, painting as I speak. Has anyone converted an AM Coupe into a Roadster?

On the June 04 2020 post Ismael inquired about a 427 Chevy manifold with Webers carbs for the Dick Boo GS. I finally found one with "Y" manifold ports to dual port head inlets. It's in the AMT T460 "New" Corvette Convertible kit of a 1971/2/3? Corvette, no year on box, NOT a "Split Tail". The Webers are 48 mm vice the 58s you need for the Dick Boo big block and have a lot of "flash". The best I've found so far for a Chaparral 2E. Had to a lot of grinding on the Accurate GS's to make them fit the chassis and rear under body, found a few errors on the instructions but they DO come with extra number illumination light both rectangular and round bulb parts 90 & 91, Hall's #4 had two rectangular while Foyt's #2 had three round bulb on the right side door number only, none on left door. Foyt also had two rectangular on the roof front one red. The extra number lights will go on my Mecom Lola Mk VI along with my pretty new "Olds F-85" custom wheels George Barris did. Yhanx, John

Afternoon Fellows, Sanding, sanding, sanding my various GS projects bodies (I HATE sanding)! The two roadster had the AM roofs & deck cut off and a vacuform Sting Ray convertible deck attached, not so bad. Other has a '62 rear deck attached. Seat cut outs not exact but look good. Using three Carerra slot bodies, Sebring # 2 and 4 and the "Presentation" Nassau '64 for my coupes, the AM Sebring #3 will be the only AM coupe body. Opened the hoods, had to grind on inside body to get the AM interiors to mate with the Carrera bodies. Love the Carrera paint and tampo decals. Used the Carrera wheels with the AM tires and a set of Modelers Chap 2D Firestones (love the Gold Stripe 'Stones) on AM faded alloy wheels. Not happy with the AM exhausts, scratching/modifying AMT Modified dirt tracker kit which has two Great sets of headers AND a GREAT set of downdraft fuel injectors that look like 48 and 58 mm downdraft Webers (for my Chaparral projects). The last photo shows the right hand lower headers I will use modifying the last pipe and heat twisting the four into one into a flat four set to meet the exhaust pipe. Attaching four shots of the headers I am modifying for the Grand Sports. The Simeon Collection Roadster Chassis 01 and the Bill Tower Chassis 05 headers are entirely different than the AM versions. Both rights and left headers vary from each GS. Thanx for viewing, John

The exhaust headers really look outstanding. Just great work.
