Hi guys, I need about an acre of Carbon Fiber for my ZR1 project. It's been almost a decade since I last bought decals. Any good online retailers? I remember Scale Motorsports as the benchmark for Carbon fiber decals back then. Are there others? I want to replicate this: Thanks, Ismael

Scale Motorsports is probably still your best bet. I have sheets from 2 other companies that I have not tried yet - Tamiya and Gofer Racing Decals. The Tamiya is simalar to SM (Carbon Fiber Twill Weave) but a tad darker. The Gofer Racing pattern is larger than the other 2.

Out of the dozen or so Manufacturers I have tried, I have to say Scalemotorsports comes in right at the top below Modelers. I really like Modelers, but I am not sure if they are still making them, you can find them on the internet, but be cautious because they may be Out Dated , making them brittle and tend to sliver when old. They go on easy, conform easy dry well and take all the different clear coats that I have applied .. I do spray a light clear over them just in case, before use if I have any doubts. They react very well to Solvaset too. Next up would be MFH and Studio 27 they are good but dont conform as well without a lot of Solvaset, Next on the Bottom are Slixx, Colorado and a few others Suk! not even close in pattern or ease of use. The SM 1/43 scale CF I found to be excellent where as I have some problems with a few of their 1/24 and 1/12 sheets again maybe old stock, you dont know until you get them though, unless you order them direct from Scalemotorsports. That's my story and I am stickin' to it.. No matter the brand or where you get them from confirm they are fresh! or you may have some problems.. Chris
