Way to many variations to even think about trying to build a particular car with the correct scoop as I'll be the 1st to admit that I don't have the skill set to create a resin or even a vacuform scoop.

Either way you build it, I always enjoy watching your work! Have fun I know I do! Chris

I got most of the resin roughed-in. I'll use Apoxie Sculpt to fill the old NACA duct and blend in the resin diffuser. The scoop is just sitting on the body for now. I need to paint under it and fine-tune the fit. I'm planning to remove the passenger seat and rebuild the cockpit to better represent the IMSA cars. Nothing fancy, since it won't be seen when finished. This is a simple kit, so things should go fairly fast once the resin is finished. Famous last words! Ben

I finally got back to the Porsche after taking a break to work on a couple of 1/48 airplanes. Not my best work, but a decent three-footer. I still haven't put my photo-shooting area back together, so I'll have to settle for some crappy cell phone pics. I enjoyed building it. The resin parts cleaned up well and the Indycals decals performed flawlessly, as usual. I've fixed with windscreen decal since I took the photos. I had to modify the wheels to fit the model. The poly caps provided in the kit were too small for the openings in the wheels, and the wheels stuck out of the wells too much. This was easily fixed with a Dremel, styrene tube, and super glue. The kit itself was showing its age, with fit issues and lots of flash to clean up. Ben

Ben, Like you, my auto modeling was at 1st a break from aircraft modeling, but a really strange thing happened along the way: I never built another aircraft model as my true "Love" has always been race cars.

Ben, Like you, my auto modeling was at 1st a break from aircraft modeling, but a really strange thing happened along the way: I never built another aircraft model as my true "Love" has always been race cars. Joel Cars have been a great diversion to help get my airplane-building mojo back. I'm trying to keep at least one of each going at the same time, so I can build down my stash and stay interested in the subjects. I tend to get "modeling ADD" if life gives me too many distractions and slows down a project. I'll get interested in a different subject before the current project is finished. Ben
