Building a custom Dodge Ram Club Cab Ramp Truck. Here are the donors: Here's the dry fit, after quite a bit of material being removed from both donors. Here's the blended chassis on the "surface plate" being welded (JB Welded that is) together. And the body parts sitting patiently.

Done, and trying to figure out what to pose it with. I don't have anything contemporary in a Dodge or Chrysler product, so it's going to be hauling vintage racers. 1/18 Petty Enterprises 2004 Nascar Dodge (custom) 1/18 Grand American Road Racing Championship - 2000 Daytona 24 Hours Overall (and GTO Class) winning Dodge (Chrysler) Viper [/a] 1/18 United SportsCar Championship - 2014 Circuit of the Americas (COTA) GTLM Class Winner

Cool hauler! When I started reading your latest post I immediately thought of a Viper! I have always wanted to see the 2000 Daytona winner be kitted in 1/24 or 1/25.
Thanks, Ismael

As much as I like the Vipers, the race truck really looks at home there!
Thanks Ismael

So, picking up on where we left off two and a half months ago. My intent was to create two Dodge rampers, but the plan got sidetracked as it turned out that the ACME's were painted Burnt Orange in lieu of red. I made the above version using the Chevy bed, but wanted the 1995 Anson Dually-sourced one to be a little more color authentic. After I joined the two chassis. Here's the ACME Dodge donor. First a little brain salad surgery. Then a quick fit. Here are some chassis joining details, again, using my usual JB Weld approach. Then, the cab pieces go off to my painter, and while I wait, I detail out the underside of the chassis. Body's back and ready to complete the build. Reassembled last night. Matched up with the stock ACME Dodge hauler, both carrying a Plymouth Superbird variant.
