My longtime friend and fellow Model car Builder passed on January 9th, He was a Great Guy that helped establish and promote the NNL West along with Roy Sorensen He was lately building Roth Type Customs as seen in his latest "Moon Shot" that was reviewed in Model Car Builder Magazine. I had a lot of good times with Steve at shows from San Diego to Santa Clara ( NNL West ) over the years. He will is a big loss to the Modeling community. I always liked the 1956 Ford 2 door "Surf Wagon" he proudly drove complete with a full 8 Track stereo system and a multitude of 8 track tapes in mint condition. He was also a collector of "Tiki's" the real deal from Hawaii and Polynesia He had many full size examples in his back yard and house. Being from Hawaii myself and with the Middle name of Kimo meaning "God of Fire" in Hawaii, we shared a lot in common. ( Steve is on the right in the attached photo ) R.I.P. My Friend We will surely miss you! Chris Moon Shot !
