After a dry spell of several months, I'm back to building again. I started this one almost two years ago and it was one of those kits that fights you from the start. It has sat on the Shelf of Doom for over a year. I've never really liked the F40, but I got the kit as part of a lot, so I figured I'd get some decals for a simple livery and have a short, relaxing build. I was spoiled by Fujimi's McLaren F1 GTR, MP4 12C GT3, 917, and 911 GT3, and figured this one would be the same. It turned out to be more like an old AMT kit and the MSM Creations decals were so brittle, they were almost unusable. The poly caps provided for the wheels didn't fit the front axles, so I had to resort to drilling out some plastic rod and gluing them to keep them from falling off. The clear parts fit was vague and they interfered with the interior. I had to force the body onto the chassis with super glue. The parts are under so much tension, I might be at risk of shrapnel wounds if it ever comes apart! I see a few things I missed, but I'm calling this one done. Ben

Not a big fan of the F40 but in racing livery it looks pretty good. I'd say you did a really good job!
