Progress report. I'm almost out of things to do until I get my exhausts, which apparently have finally cleared customs. Seems like it took them 12 days to figure out that the little plastic things aren't the detonator for a nuclear warhead or something. Now at the mercy of Canada Post. So here's where I'm at:
Tried for the copper and brass look for the rad:
I have a rack to build, some master cylinders, and then I wait.
And back to the dreaded FORD.

Paul, The headers look pretty good to me, and they certainly move the engine detailing to the next level.

Paul, Wow!!
I still find it hard to believe that this isn't a retail kit. You did some job with parts from various kits, along with a ton of scratch building. Even your own decals no less.

Paul, Thanks for showing more, I really got enthused over this build and have started a 1/16 F5000 of my own. mostly scratch built , Based on a Lotus 42F with a Chevy Small Block I have found most of the parts and will make what I dont have , one item I dont have is a windscreen, pm me if you have one from any formula style 1/16 kit? I started the full tub and engine, but still have not found a suitable transaxle so it looks like I will make that too... pics when I get going a little more. Thanks again it was a quite enjoyable Thread. Chris ps. what did you use for Zip-Ties on the Roll bar padding?

But it ended up pretty much as I'd hoped.
I forgot these:
Thanks for the support my friend.

Chris, I'm sorry but I have nothing in 1/16th scale. Up until now I didn't even know it existed!
Glad you enjoyed the posts.
ps: it's electrical wire, from a mouse cable I believe.

Paul, 22 months in the planning. Now that's impressive for sure. Talk about staying focused for the long haul.
And thanks for posting the pics as they really do your build justice is showing off just how detailed your build really is.
