You'll never get insurance on it, the tires are definitely beyond their expiry date. But they look great!

Ismael, I never doubted for a min that you wouldn't succeed with a better wire wheel, and you've done it in Spades. It wouldn't even surprise me if you figured out how to add a little tread to those tires.
BTW, only you would give those tires a test fit on Snoopy's dog house. Just gotta paint it bright Red.

Ismael, At 1st I thought that you actually somehow finished the build, but then it's just that lovely set of 4 tires/wire wheels. And yes, they could easily be displayed by themselves they're that good.

Outstanding Job on the Wheels, they look very Authentic and the seat too.. I got my 3D printed engine and grill from Indycals yesterday, pretty nice, but you know me I am trying to figure out how to add even more detail to the engine.....now if I can just find those 2 sets of Deeks wires I stashed somewhere? Maybe I could start then.. I guess a call to Herb is in order.. What paint did you use on the tires, they look real..Chris

Chris,
Sorry I did not catch the question earlier. The paint is acrylic "Pavement" color which is a notch down from black. Very dark grey that sometimes looks black.
Thanks, Ismael

Hello, HABEMUS COLORUS! In my research I've found Talbots use a lighter shade of blue compared to Bugatti. I'll use the other color on the Buga..... OOPS! sorry! Never mind! Thanks, Ismael

Nice light blue. I'm still trying to figure out what colour of glue to use on my *%%$$# kit.
Coming along very nicely Ismael, I'm jealous.

Ismael, Nothing like the basecoat of color to really fill one's Mojo tank. Impressive to say the least.

I have been considering doing the Talbot Lago T26c also but in this wonderful Yellow livery. I am not so sure about doing the louvers on the nose but the basic car is the same. I have two kits, one in gray plastic, a Indy Cals engine and grill set and a couple of Deeks wire wheel set ( if I can fine where the heck I put them) but It will make a great model I think. A bid Thanks to all the guys doing one too and also pascal ( Bugatti 35B MFH) for reminding me how beautiful the cars of this era really are. I dont know when I will start this build but a W.I.P. will follow.. Chris

Chris,
That is a beautiful car! Love that color! That car is a later version of the T26 from the 50's. The nose louvers as you mention are different. Also the whole intake carburation setup is different, forcing the hood to be different as well among other smaller differences. By the way, a rebodied T26 won LeMans in 1950.
Thanks, Ismael

Yeah, I had read it was the 1950 car with modifications but I think I am just going for the color. Since I have several kits I may or may not due the yellow car as a curbside this pretty cool too
