I have been talking with Michael at Indycals , sharing photos and he is going to be making a decal set for the Tamiya Lola T-160 kit , that kit is 1/18th scale. I am not sure what other scales he will be offering. I have had that kit sitting and waiting for some AAR Lola decals since it first came out in 1969 . On one of our sister sites Open Wheel Racing Modeling there has been a request for other Liveries for this kit and Michael has come through with this very popular set. Watch here for an announcement when they are available.. Chris

That is a Excellent build of the 1968 Eagle, a beautiful car, probably one of the most beautiful Indy cars of all time. I had a set of Sponsor/Driver Mylar Decals for that car, yeah the real car, Dan gave them to my Dad for his work on the 68 Indy winning Offy engine. I sold them a while back, dont know what I was thinking but oh well... I was able to loan them back to Phillipe and AAR for copying when they restored the car . They were very appreciative, because they didnt have to hire someone to draw them up, simply copy them and put them on the restoration car.. Chris ps. if you have a photo in your photo files on your computer simply click "Add attachment on the right corner on the create post page (not quick reply) and insert your photo that way. like this. note these are size limited and the space available goes quickly so whenever possible usethe normal photo sharing method.

Guys, just keep in mind the "TS" in the model designation. The Lola 160 was a production car, the Lola 160TS was Team Surtees' highly modified house version. I always thought it slightly odd that Tamiya did a basically one-off car. Check your references!

Yes it is a TS, but Like Michael said, "Its a great start and would require some changes anyway!" Is there another kit we dont know of that comes close? I dont think so. This is a Nissan R382 Can Am car but wasnt always that way, a scratch built engine and a scratch bashed AM McLaren M8b chassis and a body from an Otaki Nissan R382 was changed to match the actual car.. it can be done if You want . I did notice the original car had the 305 Ford with Cross Ram Webers not the upright Injection stacks and system so that would be the first item to change. .... Chris
