The Frame is pretty much done. I put as much of it together before I painted it with alclad aluminum. I also assembled the gearbox/trans axle and painted it semi gloss black. As per the instructions, the foot box and pedal assembly is part of the frame. It’s pretty simple looking compared to modern formula one cars. The last 3-4 pictures are the frame with a brown wash to add some depth and character. Plus I want it to look like is has been driven a lot 😁

That frame is quite the spiderweb!
The paint effect came out perfect, nice job mate.

Chris, I'll 2nd what Paul said. The frame looks simply outstanding especially with the transaxle installed.

As you can see I got the engine installed in between the frame rails. I also got couple hose’s plumbed. I did find it rather odd that the engine sits at a angle, the guys in maranello knew what they where doing.

Chris, The engine installed in the frame looks outstanding. Plumbing is really looking quite good. I wasn't sure if the engine was installed at an angle, or it's dry fitted and you accidently nudged it to one side. Like you said, it does look rather odd, but I'm sure that it works just that way.

It took me 2 hours to get these together… Apparently Paul thinks I build too fast 🤣

Apparently I have no life and this hobby gives me something to do! But I’m enjoying the ride😁 I have gotten the plumbing done, it’s an interesting design, but it reminds me of a flat head V8 Mr. Ford designed in the 30’s. But this little six probably made a lot more horsepower. I will be doing the dash next, it looks rather simple in design and is not as complicated like a modern race car, who the hell needs traction control 😉

I'm just blown away by the kits complexity of plumbing and just how detailed every little piece is.
I for one think that your time spent on this build is more then well worth it and the effort you constantly put into it.

Chris, does the kit come with the black sections of "hose connections" or did you have to fabricate those? If so, from what? Also, does it come with PE hose clamps? I am so looking forward to getting my kit just to see how it comes together!
Great looking build! And I met a friend of yours on Facebook... Mark Adams. Real nice guy!

Yes the kit comes with the black hose pieces( heat shrink tubing )😉 and yes it comes with PE hose clamps, they can be a bit fiddley. Yes Mark is a great person. One in a million!! Thanks for the compliment on my build. Once you get your Hiro, you’ll geek out on all the little details that are included and not aftermarket..
