I was talking with Paul Cadwell this morning and I now have a complete parts list along with the instructions. I have noticed a few things such as a vagueness as to where hoses (black and clear) connect but I imagine I will be able to consult with the gurus here! Apparently the kit has not arrived to UpScale. Paul clued me in on ordering direct from MFH which I swear will never happen as I won't be buying another kit... (he says with fingers crossed behind his back). I guess to be thorough it would have to be a modern era Ferrari since I don't have any beyond the 641/2. (Oh hush my mouth). And now that I have seen the directions for the spoked wheels (yes I brought them up), easy peasy... LOL!

I would start doing some research of the car just like you would for any other model you have assembled. I only have ordered direct, some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. Still freaking out on those wheels…. Well sir they don’t build themselves 😉

Top photo shows a few bits that I painted over the weekend. The front steering is complete. I will probably have the rear suspension finished later today 😉 Stay tuned

WOW! What great progress!
I didn't realize this was a front engine hot rod... wonderful detailing. But I should since the 156 in 1961 was the first rear engine Ferrari with them taking their cues from Lotus and Jim Clark! Some things just take a few days to soak in... it's amazing to see your work progress so well!
How did you get the brown patina around the instrument gauges? I think it is exactly spot on for the era!
And how is the low temp soldering going? I would love to hear about that! What gauge solder and type of flux are you using? That's where I made my mistake on the GT40... no flux. Duh...
Great stuff to see!

And as far as soldering, I don’t have the balls right now to try😁 I have primarily used Med Gell CA. I will try to ask you question about the solder. It’s supposed to be low temp 70deg C and liquid flux. I have seen the solder on line from a train shop in England and it’s sold in bars.

Paul, The dash and instruments look as real as non-real can get. They're that good.

Brakes are complete, it took a bit of fiddling to get the bolts on the backing plate. I also used 24g silver jewelry wire for the brake lines on the caliper’s. The kit did supplied wire for the step, I decided to use the jewelry wire because I knew I was going to make a mistake more than once😁

This looks outstanding! The quality of the kit shows with your clean build.
