That is an awkward little bugger. I have to ask, is the transmission permanently in place or do you have to remove it in order to continue? If it can stay, I would just apply some super thin CA and let it do the bonding, you'd probably never notice. If it has to come out, is there any kind of gap at all between the two psrts? If there is, see if a cutoff disc for a Dremel will fit between. You might break a few but they're cheap.
Good luck buddy.

So transmission is still attached on the other side but not in permanently. I just placed the engine and tranny in for fit purposes as per Paul Cadwell. It all has to come out to get detailed.
Worst case I’ll just glue it in place with a hex bolt head on top.
One of those things I guess… I'm never gonna get a perfect build...

I know I am probably overposting (as I normally do) but this is my first MFH build and I have been substituting something else that starts with MF for model factory. 56 holes to be drilled in these two pieces... 56... and there are only 72 per hub for the spoked wheels. How do you all get through these builds so quickly? Are the callouses and base of you index finger from the pin vise already thick enough that it doesn't bother you? So these need some sanding on the seam lines, etc! br] Any and all comments and criticisms are welcome!

Patrick, Just keep on posting. I'm following your build and your adventures as a 1st time MFH builder with great interest. If I do take the plunge it will be for their 1/24 and 1/20 scale kits.

Great! Glad to see the build of the Dino 156! It will certainly be my next one.

With the purchase of a variable speed electric drill, the drilling has become much easier. And since work has been (and will continue to be slow), I took advantage of the time. I am learning all the little nuances of the MFH world though... First of all, I was able to drill out the pesky little thread that had cause me headaches... now just a little repair, redrill and repaint and it will be good to go... I was able to get far enough down the road to dry assemble most of the chassis... Someone of a Facebook thread was chiding me that the rear frame is actually raised and not flush (in other words, it is not a parallel line to the ground). Well, if you assemble it correctly, the rear raises it self up with little effort! I forgot to bring one bag that had two small supports for the front suspension hangers... but I will try to get that in place tomorrow. So breakdown now and a trip to the polish bin. As always, your comments and criticisms are ALWAYS welcome.

Hi, Great! Glad to see the build of the Dino 156! It will certainly be my next one. Pascal Thanks, Pascal! Your build is coming along great! Where did you obtain the gaskets for your engine? Are they a part of the kit or did you find an aftermarket source? This will add to my collection of Ferraris across the decades... the 1961 156, a 312B, a 312T, 312T2, 312T4, a 126C2 and a 641/2. Thanks for you looking in!

Patrick So the electric drill did the trick with removing that broken off screw, and it's making drilling those countless holes that much easier for us older guys. What brand did you get as I'm still searching for the right drill.
Your issues with whatever facebook group is the main reason why I left the two I tried out a few years ago and never returned. My two online sites are more then enough for me, and way more friendly and personable.

Patrick, None of the above for me. Been so busy running around with my wife to labs for pre-surgical tests as now it's a new right Shoulder. I just knew that she find a way to get younger, and so far she's succeeding. Of course there's my ever growing lists of medical appointments as well to keep me real busy right now.
The V12 really is looking more and more like the real deal with each update. I'd say that your learning curve has been spot on. Your use of all the various shades of metallics really has made a huge difference.

I like the finish you got on the engine, very realistic.
For the record, I use a DeWalt DCD771 20 volt cordless drill (simply because all my tools are DeWalt or Stihl).

Is that costing her not just an arm but a leg as well (sorry I couldn’t resist such an off tge cuff remark!) Thanks for checking in!
