For those of you who haven't heard yet, Salvinos JR have finally signed an agreement with Ford to produce Musatang NASCAR Cup Cars. The first will be the Penske Cars of Joey Logano (Shell - Championship winner), Austin Cendric (Discount Tire - Daytona winner), and Ryan Blaney (Menards). First kits should ship in February.

I've been thinking it's time to try a NASCAR kit. The Menards car would really stand out!

I don't know what they would use as a donor for these new Cup cars, they're totally different from the old stock cars.
Anybody know?

Thanks Ben

As was mentioned, the new kits are complete kits. In fact, all their kits are complete kits - no donor kits needed. The '70s era cars do use Monogram parts, but Salvinos have the molds. Mike

Mike That I didn't know, but it makes sense. I got one from Mike's Decals, I assumed it was a Salvinos "kit" and a "Monogram" partial model to fill in the blanks - donor kit if you prefer (no body). It's still in the box, I should take a better look at it!
Thanks Mike.

Yeah I think when they started tooling their own kits you could tell if it was theirs or if it was old Monogram by if it was 1/25 or 1/24. Those old Monogram kits are solid kits. But they’ve come a long way from reboxing the Monogram stuff. Those next gen kits look pretty sweet and I may have to try one out.

Salvinos is now taking pre-orders on Austin Cindric's Daytona winner (for release in February).
