Afternoon Fellows, Postman just delivered a 1/24 Pactra Cooper-Ford/King Cobra slot car I got off eBay. Factory painted body is pretty nice with some hogging out of the rear fenders and a little off the front but not bad, got a new unmolested DuBro (prior Stormer) King Cobra absolutely cherry, and a cherry Pactra Cooper Ford. So, right now I have 2 Pactras, 2 Lancers and 2 Dubros. The gold body is the Stormer prior DuBro which is slightly narrow and a little oversize on the intake and exhaust pipes. . The chassis in 2nd attachment is the AMT Hussein Dodge static kit which is a Cooper Monaco chassis, body is a Lancer with hogged out fenders but painted on the outside. This plastic pan chassis has the Cooper tubular frame outline molded into it. Used Evergreen 1/2 round solid rod on either side to construct a chassis around. Also have a bunch of Pactra Sports Car interiors (clear slot car) which are very close to the Cooper Monaco/King Cobra. So far I have 3 of 4 1/24 King Cobra bodies that I know of. Last one I'm tying to get is the Shark slot body, haven't seen an example of, anybody got a photo to share? Any other 1/24 King Snakes out there? Thanx for viewing, John

Afternoon Fellows, Found an unknown 1/24 Cooper-Monaco/Climax clear slot car body on eBay had to get it, It is an Auto-Hobbies Cooper-Monaco and may be the best in overall accuracy. I thought it might be the Roy Salvadorri Maserati but it appears to be the Penske-Climax later Mecom-Chevy if so either adds to the King Cobra legacy. Does anyone know of any mote 1/24 Cooper 2-seaters? I know Shark made one but have never seen it. I now have 2 Pactra's, 2 Lancer's, 2 Dubros amd the Auto Hobies. Cooper wheels are now the problem, The AMT McLaren-Elva had the best followed by the Monogram Scarab. Mini-Lites will do but not exact. All the bodies have flaws but are the best effort in the Day. I had a resin 1/24 at one time made by a Japanese friend, nice but not quite right. Photos show AMT Hussien chassis which is a Monaco, interior is the Pactra Sports car inetrior.
