I'm in the "other dimension" camp myself. That's the one. 🤣 I picture an all white box with clear window and arm holes with elastic cuffs that fit tightly around your arms. 🤣 Inside a padded room, so I don't have far to go. 🤣

I have a question Paul. Do you apply the carbon fibre decals directly to the plastic/resin whatever, or do you paint/clear coat first and then decal over it?

Paul, first primer, then semi-black, then decals and finally dullcote. I like the flat look better than the glossy carbon fibre. Now if I could just keep my fat fingers from screwing up the c/f

Paul, Have you worked out a solution for the gap from the nose section to the floor yet? I'm curious to see how you correct it.

Body gaps look great, i hope my Cobra turns out that good. So the gap in front air dam, from picture of car it looks like a winglet goes there.

Paul, Egads, displaying with the front clip off permanently would kind of ruin the true beauty of the car.

Bill, if you look at my reference pictures, some of the cars have a winglet that goes up from the floor. Others have ones going downward, and some don't have any. But the bottom of the headlites needs to reach the floor. I'm doing this build with Chris. We've been bouncing ideas of off each other for the whole build. The other solution was to build up the bottom of the nose so that it reaches the floor. I'll re-assemble it and decide which direction I want to go.

Paul, Egads, displaying with the front clip off permanently would kind of ruin the true beauty of the car. Joel Joel, I figured that, but I got the 'display separately' idea from the banner. If you look at the last picture above, it's not very noticeable from an angle.

Paul, I've used that concept for the same reason with my Revell Roush Mustang where my over zealous detailing added to the front fit clip issue from not correctly fitting. Just kinds of bothers me to this very day when I look at my display models.
I'm sure that there's more then enough details under the front clip to justify leaving it open.

If it were me, I'd add a little bit of material to the body clip to close the gap, I doubt you'd notice it after the paint.
Or you could add it to the splitter and carbon decal it, but that would be a lot harder.

Once I put the bodywork back on, I'll make the decision to add to the bodywork or just leave it alone. Side pipes, deflectors and front suspension added. The engine was installed, then the pipes were connected to it. Then the floor was attached. 2086

I am envious. Not of the model, the fact that you don't have snow on your deck.
Looks great! (the model).
