I have zero experience with those kits but, any chance the front clip is hitting the radiators upright supports? Maybe sanding down slightly the inside of the front clip and the top of where it is touching can help? It doesn't look like a huge gap but rather a tolerance stackup.
Thanks, Ismael

Paul, Just amazing work. Every step of the way is meticulously done. Top of the line for me is your CF decaling. Looking at those pictures, you'd never guess that it's all decals. No sloppy seams, no creases, no bubbles, no issues.

I am envious. Not of the model, the fact that you don't have snow on your deck.
Looks great! (the model). Paul, I live on Long Island NY, and we've had the least amount of snow ever this past winter: less then 1 inch. Lately the days have reached into the high 40s-low 50s with an occasional 60 thrown in, which is in the forecast for this weekend. I'm sure that next winter we'll get slammed again with no end to the snow and bitter cold. joel

Paul, when I built the Tyrrell P34 MFH Transkit the Engine cover wouldnt set down properly so I sent Hiro at MFH a email and got a really fast response on what to do, step by step , I did it and it fit very nicely after. Have you contacted them on the Gap on the front of 333SP? Chris

Obviously Hiro would know the in's and outs of the kit I thought the same, it was a problem with the Cowl, but he told me how to re-do the Ignition leads (plug wires) that allowed precise clearance. I was grateful I didn't sand the Cowl into a paper thin status. Nice Guy Too!! Chris

I am envious. Not of the model, the fact that you don't have snow on your deck. Looks great! (the model). No snow is one of the benefits of living in So Cal, Paul. But we have had a lot more rain this year than usual. Thanks Kyle I have zero experience with those kits but, any chance the front clip is hitting the radiators upright supports? Maybe sanding down slightly the inside of the front clip and the top of where it is touching can help? It doesn't look like a huge gap but rather a tolerance stackup. Thanks, Ismael Ismael, I don't think it's a clearance or stack issue. If you look at the left side of this picture, you can see where the the front meets the side pod. It is sitting at the correct angle. if I where to push the front of the nose down, that gap will open up. Paul, Just amazing work. Every step of the way is meticulously done. Top of the line for me is your CF decaling. Looking at those pictures, you'd never guess that it's all decals. No sloppy seams, no creases, no bubbles, no issues. joel Joel, believe me, the CF decaling is far from perfect. I'm just good at taking pictures from the best angle...LOL Paul, when I built the Tyrrell P34 MFH Transkit the Engine cover wouldnt set down properly so I sent Hiro at MFH a email and got a really fast response on what to do, step by step , I did it and it fit very nicely after. Have you contacted them on the Gap on the front of 333SP? Chris Chris, I've looked at the prototype build-up that MFH did on this car and they have the same gap. The other built cars I've seen either also have that gap or they have displayed the car with the nose off. I'll either display with the nose off or build up the bottom of the nose piece to match the floor.

Wow!! That really sucks that MFH knew of that gap issue, and left it exactly that way for the production run. I would think that for the cost of the kit, they would have addressed every known issue, especially one so visible as that gap.

I'm also considering very hot water and resetting the nose.

Chris, I know next to nothing about Resin becoming pliable with hot water, but if you can reshape the nose, how would that effect the head on view? Would that side now have a visible droop?

Would that side now have a visible droop? joel Joel, it is possible to reshape resin using hot water, just like you can with styrene. I still haven't decided what I will do. But I'm leaning heavily to displaying with the nose off. Arrgghhh......I thought I was doing good with a nice color coat before decals. Then I saw the bug in the rear deck. It'll need a light sanding then a respray. 2610
