Nice progress as usual. Your p/e part is probably hanging out with the original mirror face I made for my Grand Sport and some other parts thru history Thank you Ismael

Paul, is there a specific reason that two bolts (one per side) are not installed or is that just me not seeing things clearly? On the valve covers? Now I know I need to drill out those! And how did you so clearly achieve the crisp FORD on both sides? You are an inspiration for sure. I might get some time on Monday if I get everything done on Sunday! Oh young padawan, study the instructions you must. For they are the key to assembly. As for the logos.....paint the valve covers, then carefully sand on the letters and the FORD will be revealed. You know I have a set of instructions right here in the desk drawer. How about if I bother to read them? LOL! Thanks for your patience, Paul.

Hi 2WHL, could you tell me how you polish the parts of the monoque walls (which fixer or cleaner you use )? Thank you, Giovanni La Rosa giovanni@fratelli-larosa.com

Hi 2WHL, could you tell me how you polish the parts of the monoque walls (which fixer or cleaner you use )? Thank you, Giovanni La Rosa giovanni@fratelli-larosa.com Giovanni, I have a magnetic tumbler that I use. I dilute the solution about 1:10 with water. It usually takes about 20 -30 minutes in the tumbler to get a good shine. Before I purchased the tumbler, I used steel wool in #000 and #0000. But that was very labor intensive and messy.

Hi WHL, thank you very much for your very fast reply! I'm assembling the Ferrari 312 PB in 1/12 scale by MFH and I have to clean the white metal parts that make up the cockpit, the side pods, etc. I have seen your parts of the M19A monocoque and I really like their surface uniformity. I know so much that I have to buy a magnetic Tumbler. By the way, do you get the liquid you need for cleaning with the Magnetic Tumbler or do you have to buy it separately? Thanks again and congratulations on your McLaren M19A Greetings, Giovanni La Rosa

Since you're using it for 1/12th scale, make sure you get the one with a 180mm bowl.

Those half-shafts look skinny for such a beast. Love that transaxle. It looks great.
Thanks, Ismael

Thanks Paul, I had already seen Chris' wip but his polishing of the monocoque is not my goal; I find it too rough and full of streaks; I like very clean models. I did some tests with the Micro Mesh abrasive paper system with a very good result, even if some streaks are still visible. I really liked the polishing of your panels on the McLaren monocoque and I think that with a good initial polish with the magnetic tumbler, later with the Micro Mesh I should get the result I want. If you want to see my latest model, you can go to the following web address: www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/169560-ferrari-500-f2-1952-german-gp-winner-alberto-ascari- 112-stairs/ Ciao, Giovanni La Rosa

If it wasn't for that purple Insta-Cure I'd never get anything built!
