Hello, You may have heard me repeatedly saying that my philosophy is that you don't go to the next step until your current step is so good that the next is almost not needed. The biggest mistake is to think the next step will cover your mistakes. Clear will not cover a lousy paint job. Paint will not cover for a lousy primer job and so on. Another reason is that you will need far less material. Here is a very loud and bold example: Look at this bottle of 2.5 ounces of paint: That's how much paint I have used to paint not one, but 2 complete model cars. This one back in 2007:1/24 Porsche 996 GT3 and this one: Granted it is 1/32 but it uses almost as much paint as a 1/25 By the way, I bought that paint in 2007. It is 16 years old. The picture is from today (2/13/23). That is no accident. That is careful planning and not until I am 101% satisfied with the primer I consider applying color. Hope this helps illustrate the point. Thanks, Ismael

Good Thought. As the basic good practice concepts are the most overlooked, when franticly reaching for the latest solution or fad techniques. You get the “You Won’t Believe Simple It Can Be” award
