I start a new assembly. The Porsche 936/80 of the Joest Team which participated (until the 6th hour) in the 24 Hours of 1981 . This is the old Tamiya kit (1978) very basic with decals from Lemansdecals. The big job is to make the NACA sockets located at the back of the hood compliant. So cutting, moving, filling for one and puttying ................ Transformation of the rear cover finished !!!!

Little test of making lights From left to right : Origin, light in progress and finished. With accessories to make earrings bought from the Chinese.... The supports bought with the lenses are too big so I used fuse lead wire to make the surrounds...

When I just glanced at the rear cowl mods, it seemed I saw a "ghost line" to the left of the left most opening. That coincides with the putty you put in to eliminate the cut line. If I can see it in the photo, then you should be able to see it in the actual model. A good way to know if it is there is hold a flashlight (on obviously) under the line on the backside and see if the light shines through.
I have had ghost line issues literally haunt me on the GT40.

Outstanding start on the old Tamiya 908/30. Excellent job on moving those ducts.

Super Job on one of my favorite liveries of this body style. There were quite a few different versions of the 908/936 run over the years, i am going to do the first 935 "Winter" version, the Black Martini" car in 1/43 scale. I got the decals for that from LeMans Decals DE> also... Chris
