Absent a plastic kit, Burago is showing a moderately priced Corvette C8R as a scheduled release for Q of 2023. The price looks to be about $30 US. www.carmodel.com/burago/bu28024/1-24/chevrolet/c8-r-6-2l-v8-team-corvette-racing-n-3-racing-2021/159365I have had some success stripping down Burago die casts and building them into good models. The nice part is that the doors open and allow interior detail to be viewed. I did this with an early Audi R8 (pre-EVO version, before the NuNu kit) and have near term plans to do it with Porsche 991.2 RSRs. I can't tell from the images I've seen to date if the Corvette C8R will have opening doors or any other similar features.

Hello,
Unfortunately many subjects are only available in diecast form. I had to severely modify diecasts to build my C8, C7 ZR1, C7 convertible and last gen Viper. Revell will release a plastic model of the C8 soon, but no word on C8R or C8 Z06. If a diecast of the Z06 is made, I'll have to jump on it as well. I always shut the doors permanently for 2 reasons: 1: opening features like doors and hoods create huge unrealistic gaps that look horrible 2: they NEVER open prototypically correct anyways
Thanks, Ismael

They looked horrible. Now the first thing I do is glue the doors to the body.
