A 99% OOB build. I finally figured out how to put one of these things together without modifying anything (yes, it can be done). Throw out the instructions, the pictures will show the order of events. Non painted parts are only test fitted.

wheels on
minor deviation - I installed tabs on the liftgate so it will snap into place
decals are part Indycals, part kit, part home printed
for some reason this kit didn't come with the ignition boxes, but I have my own
other than that, it's box stock

Very nice! It looks really good. 99% OOB: I don't understand that concept. Sounds too hard for me. Thanks, Ismael

Absolutely gorgeous work. I’ve almost bought one of these kits about 50 times but have still yet to pull the trigger and build one. A wonderful result.

Paul, I'm really impressed with your build, and the fact that you took the time to photograph every step of the way.
Several years ago I struggled or should I say strong armed one of these Revell kits to completion. I've still got it in my collection, but I'm certainly not to proud of it so it's kind of hidden in the rear corner of a display shelf where the light rarely shines. But I've got the Folgers Mustang in the stash and a few Indy Cal sheets for it. With your help I just may get this one done and up to my current standard (whatever that actually is these days).
For a guy that doesn't like 1/25 & 1/24 scale all that much, your builds are really quite impressive.
