Hello,
As some of you know, I'm working on the 1964 Indy Pace car which happened to be a Mustang. The story of that particular car is very interesting. That car was pulled from the manufacturing line during the first hours of the very first day of production. March 9, 1964. It is literally one of the earliest Mustangs ever made. But the car was modified by Holman Moody for pace car duties. Engine was swapped, suspension was tweaked, the car was repainted, etc. I have tons of pictures of the car, (inside and out) as it was restored and some actual race day pictures. But I haven't been able to find any pictures of the car's underside, since the car was modified. Keep in mind there were Pace Car replicas made, both coupes and convertibles. I'm talking about the one and only actual Pace Car, not any of the replicas. Any ideas?
Thanks, Ismael
