Not to be put out by some other LSR projects around, I have been slowly assembling parts for the latest entrant in the dash for speed..."The Spirit of Sonoma"... I was given two options, one to go with a conventional set up...an Allison aircraft engine, a Damler-Benz Bf109 engine, or a J33 jet engine. The jet fit nicely into the old Hawk/Testors "Salt Pounder", or something like that...I also decided to orient the car "backwards" so that the jet is positioned to the "rear" which will be the front...ah, heck, you get don't ya? more to come...I think I'll put the jet into my old spares box stand by, the sprint car chassis, and put the driver in between the left side wheels ala side-car style. I invite all of you to take a break from your "projects" and do a "what-if" LSR or something more real like the Norwood project, BUT it must be LSR oriented! Brush your hair to the other side and let your mind go...fast!Patrick
