I watched it. Definitely a superior racing movie and a pretty good movie as far as movies go. I would have preferred more racing sequences and less kissy face stuff, but the racing sequences were fairly realistic and showed attention toward being historically correct. I don't know how accurate the characterizations were, but they did a pretty good job of driving the narrative.

I watched it at the theater, and when it comes around, I'll certainly buy the DVD.
While I did note a number of detail inaccuracies, considering that it was a movie, I felt the details were pretty good. Other motorsports forums have been overflowing with rivet counter bitching about every tiny detail that was not exactly correct. But if we bitch too much we just might not see another racing movie for a great many years. It's at least WAAAAYYYYY better than Driven was. Strangely, there were FAR more racing movies made in the 30s-50s than in the modern era.
How many of you saw the episode of the TV show "CSI Miami" where they investigated a murder at the Miami Grand Prix? Or the other TV show "Glades" where they investigated a murder of a NASCAR team member at the Daytona 500? At least racing getting a little attention from Hollywood. Still not real road racing, but...

I had never seen RUSH, and missed it on IFC. I'll get the DVD when it's available. Yes for me DRIVEN was very bad, inaccurate, I had hoped for better. Many of my friends that are not into racing thought it was OK. I was there at many of the shoots for DRIVEN and was given the champagne bottle used in the last seen by Sly. I had seen the CSI Miami but not the GLADES. Also in the early 90's a short lived TV show dealing with CART (Indy car) racing.
