I got a call this morning, Ron Ramsey let me know thet long time friend, modeler, slot racer and former fellow employee passed away in his sleep last night. Charles worked with me at Pep boys Corporate office in the Hi-Performance Special Order dept for quite a few years. He was a noted Slot Car Drag Racer and a very knowledgeable modeler. His father raced at Indy in 1938 and Charles ( Chuck ) had a lot to be proud of. When we worked together we spent a lot of time talking model cars, he was a big LeMans fan and a wealth of information on road race cars. He was also a good friend to Yolanda, my wife, also having worked together for many years. Charles had serious medical problems related to his weight and Diabetes. It is with great sadness I write this and offer his sister and family my support and prayers R.I.P. Chris

It's hard to lose a friend, and so much harder to lose a good friend. To lose a good friend that you had so much in common with must be devastating. Take comfort in the times you had together. Offering my condolences seems so inadequate.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. Unfortunately, the passing of people I knew through the hobby seems to be an increasingly more common occurrence.

I realized that I actually knew Chuck a little from the model car shows. Wish I could have gotten to know him better. RIP Chuck.
