Here's one I'm working on at the minute... It will look nice next to the RA271 and RA272 F1 was the greatest racing (next to the CanAm, TransAm, and F5000!! Patrick

Very nice Patrick, is it 1:24 scale? I have the Hasegawa 272E kit (both versions) which is a must build for me - one of these days.

Cool car. Sure looks like a Ferrari engine, doesn't it Patrick!? In fact, seeing the red block and the familiar gray heads and front drive, I'm sure it IS a Ferrari engine. Cool that all the versions you show were driven by the same guy, SoCal local Richie Ginther. Santa Monica area guy and kind of understudy and team mate to fellow Santa Monica Ferrari F1 Champ Phil Hill. I always thought well of Mr. Ginther. I dealt with him a lot Tech inspecting his cars when he was managing the Porsche USA road race team running Porsche 911s and 914s. I have a model sitting beside me of the 914-6 driven by Allan Johnson. Richie was a good driver and a pleasant fellow to deal with. Way back when I used to race slot cars, my favorite car was an RA272 #11. It looks in that 1st picture like the engine and gearbox were cast in place. That must have been a lot of careful sawing.

Nice selection of well built Hondas. I don't recall seeing a RA271 before.

The engine is a scratch-bashed engine. The block area was a Lamborghini V12 with a different v-degree than a Ferrari. The Honda was a 90 degree engine and most Ferraris are 60 degrees.
The RA271 is a very rare LS kit that a friend gave to me. I couldn't believe it was a pretty good example of the car.

I believe I have that Brabham-BMW also in 1/24 scale. It's a Hot Wheels die cast. Probably not NEAR as nice as that resin.

The Honda is finished for now. I not super happy with the exhausts and will revisit it again later. The Brabham is awaiting a wing post to be finished...later. Patrick
